Hello from the NHL locker Rooms!

As the NHL Season Hits its ‘Play-off Push’ there is plenty to be excited about!

If there is one indicator that clearly contributes to CONFIDENCE it has to be Momentum! I am here to report that the Easton brand clearly has that in the NHL market place!

Since our last report, an additional 12 player converted to Easton Sticks. The Easton total for 2008-2009 has found the 338 player mark!

This is UP 12 players form our previous report! And yes, this is far and away a position of dominance at the NHL level!

Easton Gloves are UP 11 players to a season high 193 NHLers! YES! The #1 Position in the League!

Pants have demonstrated a nice growth curve as well – 217 Players Up 5 from a previous total of 212!

The momentum for the Easton brand is undeniable! And there have been plenty of celebratory events as well!

Zach Parise, New jersey Devils – Zach has already reached a career high 35 goals and moved into the #2 position in the NHL for goals scored.

Mike Green, Washington Capitals, just call him Captain ‘Old School’ He recently established a league record for goals in consecutive games by a defenseman with 8! Old School or NEW School, Mike Green is just 23 years old!

And, hopefully, you all caught the return of Mats Sundin to Toronto? Well if you didn’t, Sundin’s shootout goal was the climactic Game Winner in his return to the city on Lake Ontario.

Stay tuned, for this season is headed for one exciting finish and you can be sure Easton will be leading the way!

Take out YOU Whip! Because our stable of Easton Hockey athletes have done just that!

Zach Parise, New Jersey Devils, has his eye on the league leader in the race for ‘Rocket’ Richard’s trophy.

His 29 goals have him in currently in the 3rd position for goals scored. Mike Cammalleri, has 25 and Dany Heatley, Rick Nash and Johan Franzen are right behind with 22.

Speaking of 22!

That is the number that Dan Boyle of the juggernaut San Jose Sharks wears. Boyle is one of FOUR Easton Stick users that currently have a strangle-hold on the scoring race for NHL defensemen. Andrei Markov (Mtl), Mike Green (Wsh), Dan Boyle (SJS), and Mark Streit (NYI) sit atop this list! Norris?

Scoring Trends to Watch

Percentage of player in top 40 for Total Points

Easton 42.9% UP from 40.5%

Bauer 31% no change

Warrior 14.3% down from 16.7%

RBK 11.9% no change

Percentage of player in top 40 for Total Goals

Easton 37.2% UP from 35.4%

Bauer 32.6% down from 35.4%

Warrior 20.9% up from 16.7%

RBK 9.3% up from 8.3%

TPS 2.3% down from 4.2%

Who Knows? We may just see last seasons record of 356 players FALL before this season is in the books!

And, wouldn’t that just be dandy!

EASTON HOCKEY AND EA SPORTS™ TEAM UP FOR PROMOTION SURROUNDING LAUNCH OF NHL 08 VIDEO GAME
Easton Will Give Away Top-of-the-Line Gear Packages In Upper Deck’s Face Off Sweepstakes and Rogers Video Promotion

VAN NUYS, Calif. (September 13, 2007) – Easton Hockey, makers of the #1 stick and #1 glove in the NHL, announced a two part co-branded promotion with EA SPORTS™ in conjunction with the launch of the new NHL® 08 video game on September 13. The first part of the promotion is a partnership with The Upper Deck Company that gives consumers who pre-order the NHL 08 game a chance to win a variety of prizes such as Easton hockey sticks. The second part consists of a partnership with Rogers Plus and Rogers Video where EA SPORTS™ NHL 08 enthusiasts can enter to win one of 10 Easton equipment packages.

“Our relationship with EA SPORTS has been to increase authenticity of the game by providing equipment and logos. What we’ve found is that it’s not just hard core gamers playing, but there are a large percentage of hockey players playing too. This is a fantastic avenue to directly reach players,” said Kyle Horn, director of marketing for Easton Sports. “This season we wanted to expand the relationship and give consumers an opportunity to get involved and win some of the equipment that is featured in the game. Plus, this partnership brings in retailers and additional vendors. It’s a great opportunity for all those involved.”

In the first part of the promotion, Easton Hockey and EA SPORTS have partnered with The Upper Deck Company for it’s Face Off Sweepstakes to give all those who pre-order NHL 08 at EB Games Canada or Gamestop in the US a chance to win prizes such as Easton Synergy hockey sticks. Upon pre-ordering consumers will receive a pack of Upper Deck trading cards and each card will contain a unique code. Consumers will plug the codes into the Face Off website, www.upperdeck.com/nhl08, to find out if they’ve won. Thirty thousand special edition card packs will be created for the promotion featuring four NHL superstars including: Eric Staal, Henrik Lundqvist, Jarome Iginla and Kris Draper. Face Off cards will also be in packs of 2007-08 Victory Hockey cards. Consumers who enter all six of the available Face Off hockey codes, from the pre-order packs or the Victory Hockey packs, will be granted an instant win from an assortment of great prizes, one of which being the Easton Synergy hockey stick.

For the second part of the promotion, Rogers Plus and Rogers Video, the largest Canadian owned specialty video retailer in Canada, has partnered with Easton Hockey and EA SPORTS to promote the launch of the new game. All consumers who rent NHL 08 from Rogers Video will be entered into a drawing for one of 10 Easton Hockey equipment prize packs, which include a stick and a bag. Exposure for the contest will include in-store and online materials. It will also be promoted in Rogers Sportsnet Television Network call-outs.

EASTON HOCKEY DOMINATES FIRST HALF OF NHL SEASON; 2007 NHL ALL-STAR GAME
Daniel Briere Named All-Star Game MVP; Zach Parise Named YoungStars Game MVP

VAN NUYS, Calif. (January 26, 2007) – Easton Hockey, makers of the #1 stick and glove in the NHL, flexed their muscle at the 2007 NHL All-Star Game in the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Easton had 11 all-stars in this year’s game including Dany Heatley, Joe Sakic, Nik Lidstrom, and 2007 all-star game MVP Daniel Briere, again proving that Easton is hockey’s premier brand, according to Ned Goldsmith, vice president of Easton Hockey.

Using Easton’s all-new Synergy Elite stick and S15 Stealth skates, Briere tallied the game’s first goal and added four assists, earning him game MVP honors. Brian Rolston made his presence felt with two goals and two assists. Heatley (one goal, two assists) and Martin St. Louis (one goal), who lead the NHL in goal scoring at the break with 30 each, also played exceptionally well for the Eastern Conference squad.

Sakic had a record setting evening. His four assists, which led the Western Conference to the wide open 12-9 victory, gave him a record 16 career all-star assists. His 22 career all-star points moves him to third place all time.

Zach Parise of the New Jersey Devils was explosive in the YoungStars game. He led the East team to a 9-8 victory with two goals and four assists. Parise’s performance earned him YoungStars MVP.

“At the midpoint of the season 23 of the top 50 goal scorers in the league use Easton sticks. Winning starts with scoring and this shows that Easton sticks are scoring by far the most goals of any brand,” Goldsmith said. “The 23 Easton scorers in the top 50 is the same total as the next four brands combined. To go along with the number of goals scored, Easton players score when it matters. Easton players have netted an amazing 82 game winning goals which is two more than the next four brands combined.”

Easton Hockey is excited to release exceptional new products in 2007 including the Stealth S15 skate, Synergy Elite stick, S11 gloves and a complete line of Synergy Performance Series apparel. All gear is currently being used by Easton’s NHL roster and will be launched in March of 2007.
