Drawing on the innovations and experience of the Easton-Bell Sports Helmet Technology Center in Scotts Valley, Calif., the S19 Z-Shock has been developed to weigh about as much as a small cup of coffee at just 325 grams, about half the weight of a traditional hockey helmet. It immediately becomes the lightest and most protective helmet in the NHL.

Kevlar wrapped S19 features multi-core design for improved puck control, accuracy.

VAN NUYS, Calif. (October 26, 2009) – Easton Hockey, the designer and manufacturer of the No. 1 stick in the NHL, today announced the launch of its Stealth S19 stick. Re-engineered for a stiffer flex profile throughout the taper area to provide a lightning quick release, the S19 is a pro-style stick that features an enhanced feel for the puck thanks to a new blade design.

The S19 blade features a multi-core design with an upper portion featuring a structural core and a lower portion utilizing a solid core designed for dampening. The design improves the feel, puck control and shot accuracy.

“We sent Dan Cleary a couple prototypes before the 2009 postseason – he never went back, scored nine goals, had six assists, really one of the best postseasons of his career,” said Ned Goldsmith, Senior Vice President of Easton Hockey. “Zach Parise had a career year with the S17, and after a couples skates with the S19 he’s starting the 2009-2010 season with it. There’s a hundred other stories like it – from top to bottom, this stick will start blanketing NHL locker rooms.”

Like Easton’s S17—the No. 1 stick in the NHL in 2009—the S19 features a Kevlar®-wrapped, compression-molded shaft for maximum durability, power and feel, plus Easton’s patented TORX™ technology for increased torsional strength and rigidity to the blade.

The S19 stick is currently available at major sporting goods retailers.

EASTON DEBUTS NEXT GENERATION SYNERGY HOCKEY STICK
Synergy SE16 Provides Ultimate Feel, Control, Power Thanks to Easton’s Patented, Industry-First Focus Weight Technology™

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Easton Hockey, the designer and manufacturer of the No. 1 stick in the NHL, knows the pros’ stick preferences like the back of its hand. Thus, control, power and feel – all crucial elements when it comes to stick build – are at the helm of the just-introduced Easton Synergy SE16 stick.

The revolutionary new stick combines the same proven construction of the renowned Synergy Elite line with Easton’s patented, industry-first Focus Weight Technology™ to create a next generation Synergy stick unmatched on the ice.

“We’ve found a recurring theme among NHL players when it comes to stick design – they’re disappointed in the lack of balance in today’s sticks,” said Ned Goldsmith, vice president of Easton Hockey. “Therefore, our R&D team set out to find a way to shave off weight in the shaft while maintaining the same light feel and incredible control. We redistributed the concentrated weight in the blade’s impact zone to create an unmatched feel while keeping the stick at the exact same weight as our Synergy Elite line. The goals for the SE16 model – to make it easy to control, balanced and powerful, were accomplished thanks to state-of-the-art technology that only Easton can provide.”

Easton’s Focus Weight Technology uses a concentrated weight strategically placed in the blade’s impact zone to keep the puck on the blade, and in the shaft to counter-balance the stick and give added control. For the ultimate in power, Easton’s impressive Synergy construction is combined with its compression molded process to yield one of the most powerful shots in the game.
